SNCF Voyageurs provides a service for the care and accompaniment of children during train journeys. In this context, the processing of personal data implemented by SNCF Voyageurs, in its capacity as data controller, involves offering a service to accompany children aged 4 to 14 traveling alone on trains, supervised by qualified individuals specializing in the care and activities for minors (certified animators).

Special Categories of Data

Processing health-related data relies on explicit consent via a checkbox (“I agree that my personal data may be collected to provide services tailored to specific assistance needs”).
The processing of a recipient’s ID card and photograph requires their consent (signed on the agent’s application). Similarly, parental consent for processing children’s data is obtained via an “opt-in” during the user journey.

KLIPPA: Scans IDs during child handover to extract ID numbers.

 

ESSENDEX: Sends SMS to clients (marketing campaigns, operational updates).

Prospective Clients (Prospects):

2 years in current archives from the last contact.
5 years in intermediate archives from the end of the service.

Connection and browsing data (cookies, IP address, etc.):

Duration depends on service needs.

Health data of minors: Information related to wheelchair requirements or specific travel needs.

60 days in current archives from the last contact.

Operational data (e.g., child lists):

Deleted manually 1-2 days after the journey.


Mandatory and Optional Information

  • Mandatory: Title, name, surname, email address, confirmation of email, at least one mobile phone number.
  • Optional: Secondary phone number (adds extra security for emergencies).
